INFO FOR ARTISTS

Exhibiting your work in the live exhibition at the Wanaka Community Hub:

  • The exhibition is open 2-31 May 2022, weekdays 9am - 5pm with occasional unsupervised evening and weekend events

  • You may exhibit two works or a piece up to approximately 1 metre

  • Entries close Monday 25th April, or when capacity is reached

  • Artist entry fee is $30

    • Includes free ticket to opening night ($30 value)​

    • Fee is waived if artist donates a work entirely

  • A commission of 40% is taken on all art sales, which will be donated directly to Save Kiev, Bazhannya Starenkih, Svyatogorska Lavra, and the family of Olga Zoma.​

  • Art drop-off will be Sunday 31st May between 12-2pm at the Wanaka Community Hub

  • Pick-up of unsold works will be between 4-6pm on Tuesday 31st May; you will be notified with a reminder or letting you know if your work has sold

  • Payment for your sold work will be made to your bank account between 1-10 June 2022

  •  All exhibits are displayed at the owner's risk. Insurance is the artist's responsibiilty.

  • All works must be professionally presented and have suitable cord or wire attached to frames/mountings by D-rings, with no protruding nails or screws. Only hanging art will be accepted for this exhibition.

Selling your work in the Felt.co.nz web shop:

Selling via the online shop allows a wider range of participation throughout New Zealand. It means more artists can sell work to support Ukraine. It means more buyers can purchase art to support Ukraine. And by selling more affordable, unframed prints the door is open to buyers who can't afford original works but want to show their support, too. 

  • 40% commission on sales (5% to Felt fees, 35% to donation)

  • Artists are responsible for posting sold prints to buyers

  • $15 artist entry fee; free if also exhibiting at the Hub

  • Limit of two listings per artist, each a different print

  • Donated works are welcome; entry fee is waived with a donated work

  • Artist is responsible for Felt fees of 50 centes per listing (paid up front with entry fee) and 50 cents per sale

  • Applicable entry fees must be paid and all listing details received by Monday 25 April 2022; entries will close at 40 artists.

  • Payment for your sold work will be made to your bank account between 1-10 June 2022

  • Prints must be posted by the artist to buyers by 10 June 2022 

  • Postage is the responsibility of the artist. 

  • If the artist has put their price up for the exhibition, we would ask that you are not selling the same print elsewhere at a lower price.

  • It is up to the artist how many prints out of the edition you want to have available to sell. For example, you might only choose to have 5 available out of a limited edition of 30 prints.  

  • Postage information for your reference:
    - Up to A4 prints are roughly $6.70 to post. 
    - Rural delivery adds $4.30 to cost. 
    - A3 prints and up, posted in tubes are $9.20 South Island, $14.40 North Island.

    - We have a limited supply of tubes and cardboard A4 sleeves available for purchase, if you need packaging material. Please get in touch.
